  • About me

I’m a christian girl in South Africa, a doctor. I’m married. I like to visit new places and see new things. I get bored and distracted quite easily. I tend to order the same things over and over again at restaurants. I enjoy medicine - the challenge and the humanity of it. I enjoy pictures, nature, original ideas, beauty, creativity, music, poetry, and things that remind me of the important things in life . I never have time for everything I want to do and all too often end up wasting the time I do get on (guess) the internet! I have many facets that only a few get to explore fully - you don’t know me until you know me (although I am working on this - learning to get past the superficial and into the deep).

Forgiveness

Learn to pray “Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do.” – Jesus at his crucifixion. Somebody at our old church, CRC Pretoria, preached this statement once. It goes a little past the usual “Learn to forgive” that everyone always uses on the topic. I should remember it more in the medical world, [...]

Nurses at Kalafong

I think they care about the patients. At least some of them do. But why do so many of these patients complain about them all the time? Why is it that patients have to wait several hours sometimes just to be helped to the bathroom? Why are so many of them full of pressure sores [...]
